In e-manageONE, occasionally you may manage|ONE, there might be instances where you need to create new items for your Bill of Materials (BOM) that are not imported automatically aren't automatically imported into your master parts list. These items could include items such as things like "Installation," "Design Fees," or "Overhead." To add such parts, follow the step-by-step guide below:

Method 1: Adding a Part directly Directly in the BOM / Estimating / Quoting windowWindow:

  1. Open the Bills of Materials / Quote module.

  2. Click on the "Tools" menu and select "New Part."

  3. Follow the instructions in the below Step-by-Step Guide below.

  1. From the main e-manage|ONE application, go to the "View" menu on the top toolbar.

  2. Select "Master Parts List" and click "New Part."

  1. Click on "New" at the bottom to start adding a new part.

  1. Enter the desired part number. The "Internal Part Number" will automatically be filled with the same text. Remember Keep in mind that the internal part number is visible to your customers, while the part number is used on purchase orders. This distinction can help prevent customers from comparing part numbers with other companies.

  1. Provide a description for the part, choose the vendor from the dropdown list box, select a product type from the dropdown list box (ReminderNote: Product Types = correspond to QuickBooks GL Accounts), choose a parts category from the dropdown list box, and choose select a Unit of Measure.

  1. Enter the cost, list price, and customer price. e-manage|ONE calculates the cost based on the discount from the list price, so ensure you make sure to fill out the list price first, then followed by the cost to get determine the Manufacturer (MFG) Discount.

    If you are using the e-manage Customer Web Portal, the added pictures will be used in the shopping cart section of the portal. In this case, remember to check the "Sell Via My Web Portal" checkbox.
