The Add a Follow-Up action menu item allow you to create tasks that are assigned to yourself or one or more other users and / or including yourself. You will want to use follow-ups when want to assign a task that has a date due, but no specific time of day.

You can assign follow-ups to any top level record type such as: company locations, contacts, projects, service agreements, serviceable items, service tickets and help desk incidents. 

  1. Click the Add a Follow-Up action menu item

  2. You will notice that the company location you created the follow-up on shows on the Attached To

  3. This attached to an be changed at any time by dragging and dropping any of the afore mentioned top level record types from Search e-manage, Recent Records, Favorites or any grid with those types of records in it

  4. Choose a follow-up type from the Follow-Up Type drop down list box

  5. Add a Regarding to the Regarding text box

  6. Choose a Due By Date using the Due By Drop Down Calendar Box

  7. Choose whether or not the Follow-Up is High Priority

  8. Assign at least one user to the follow-up

  9. Click the Save button 

A pop-up notification will appear on the user's computer that the follow-up was assigned to. If it was assigned to you, you will get a notification within 2 minutes of having saved the follow-up.
