Inside of the e-manage|ONE BOM Window you can easily change pricing such as your cost or sell price to your customer simply by changing values directly inside of either the option, phase and/or the BOM grid or by using the "Price By" pop-out panel located in the upper toolbar of the BOM module.

The "Price By" panel allows you to make global changes to MFG Discount, Tax Rate, Margin, etc. by following the below steps: 

  1. In order to use the Price By panel, you must have at least one row in the Option / Phase / BOM grid highlighted (note: you can highlight as many options, phases or BOMs as necessary and the Price By will be used to change all parts in the selected items). In the example below I have highlighted the entire option.

  2. Once you have highlighted your selection click on the "Price By" button located in the upper toolbar of the BOM module.

  3. You can now select either to Price By Parts Category, Product Type, MFG Code, Product Line or Manufacturer. MFG Code is one of the most chosen methods when pricing furniture and Product Type the second most chosen method as you can adjust even labor, design, project management, etc. (items typically that do not have an MFG Code assigned) globally using this option.

  4. At this point you can adjust the MFG Discount, Margin, Sales Tax Rate, etc. by placing your cursor directly in the necessary field and making the necessary change(s). In all but the Total Cost, Total List, Total Sale, Profit and Tax you can type new values then press the TAB key on your keyboard to commit the change. You can even use slashes to delineate each tier of the discount in the MFG Disc field (i.e. 50/20/10) then press the TAB key on your keyboard to commit the change.

    TIP: You can also right click on one or more rows in the Price By Product grid and change the vendor by finding the new vendor in the "Set Vendor" drop down list box and clicking the "Set Vendor" button.

Changing Individual Line item(s) Cost and Price

When you click on one or more Options, Phases or BOMs in the BOM / Quoting module, all of the items that are attached to any of the selected rows in the Options, Phases, and BOMs grid will show up in the grid on the bottom of the window individually so you can change the Cost, List, Price Each, MFG Discount, Customer Discount, Profit Margin, Markup, Vendor Commission %, Packaging Tag, Sales Tax Rate, Use Tax Rate, Description, etc. You can use your arrow keys on your keyboard to move through the grid and the cells that you can edit will go into edit mode when you enter into them.

You can change the priority (the order that items will appear on the quote) by clicking in the line # or sort cells and changing the number. By default when you import a BOM from an external source, this will automatically be filled out in the order in which the parts appear in the .SIF file.

The error count cell contains the number of options that were skipped when optioning out the item in Project Matrix or in your drawing program. You can manually change the error checkbox on any option by clicking the "+" next to the item and checking the Error checkbox on any of the options. This will cause the option to show up in "red" on the quote drawing your customer's attention to it. Any errors left checked when orders are created will warn you that there are errors on the BOM.
