manageONE, it is recommended to use the Prospecting window as it helps reduce the risk of transcription errors.

This is because the Prospecting window automatically inputs relevant information into the corresponding fields of the New Company Entry Window. Therefore, to ensure accuracy and efficiency, it is advisable to use the Prospecting feature whenever possible.
Choosing a Company Type from the drop-down list is the first thing that should be done because the Company Type determines which fields are required (*).

Once the Company Type has been chosen, fill out all required fields and drop downs. If you chose "New Company & Contact" you will select "Save" and it will auto-open the company record and contact so you can then set the "Primary Salesperson" and adjust the "Default Bill To" when necessary (if it differs from the install location) by selecting a Company from the dropdown. If you chose "New Company" be sure to change the "Default Bill To" (if applicable) and set your "Primary" Salesperson and "Credit". For more info on "Default Bill To" see the Default Bill To Remit To section.
