E-manage comes with a zip code look-up e-manage|ONE includes a comprehensive zip code database for the United States and Canada, so when . When you enter a zip code and hit the TAB key - the press TAB, the system will automatically fill in the corresponding city, state, county, and tax rate automatically populate.

If there are multiple cities for the zip code you typed in, a drop-down menu will appear for you to choose the city you want to associate with the company location.

If the city that comes up is not correct, you can add it to the zip code database by entering the correct city (after entering the zip code) and hitting TAB to exit the City Text Box. An Add Zip Code window will pop up and allow you to fill out the information that e-manage needs to save a new Zip Code.

**Note: If entering a Canada zip code be sure to put “Canada” in the country field. Also, please note you can always use “N/A” in any of the fields that are not applicable to the zip code such as “Area Code” or “County”.

Adding an International Zip Code

  1. Enter the zip code in the Zip/City/State field and hit the TAB key to open the box shown below:

Handling Multiple Cities for a Single Zip Code

Some zip codes may correspond to multiple cities. In these cases, e-manage|ONE will present a list of city options after you enter the zip code. Simply select the correct city from the provided list to proceed.

Adding International or Unrecognized Zip Codes

If e-manage|ONE does not recognize the zip code you're entering (e.g., international locations), you can manually create a new zip code entry. Follow these steps:

  1. Enter the Zip Code

    • In the New Company window or the Quick Company, Contact & Lead form, type in the zip code and press TAB on your keyboard.

    • If the system does not recognize the zip code, it will display a prompt asking if you want to create a new zip code. Click Yes to open the Add New Zip Code window.

  2. Complete the New Zip Code Details

    • In the Add New Zip Code window, fill out the following fields:

      • Zip Code

      • City

      • County (use N/A if not applicable)

      • State (must be 2 characters)

      • Country (free-form entry allowed)

      • Area Code (use N/A if not applicable)

    Note: The Sales Territory field is optional.

  3. Special Instructions for Canadian Zip Codes

    • When entering a Canadian zip code, ensure "Canada" is selected in the Country field.

    • The County field becomes not required when Canada is selected as the Country but again, you can use N/A in any fields where you do not have information to populate.

  4. Save the New Zip Code

    • If a warning message appears, click OK and proceed.

    • Save the company’s information to finalize the new zip code entry.
