The information from the Prospecting window is automatically inputted into the relevant fields of the New Company Entry Window. When possible Prospecting is the best way to enter a new company into e-manageONE because it minimizes the risk of transcription errors.
Choosing a Company Type from the drop-down list is the first thing that should be done because the Company Type determines which fields are required (*).
Once the Company Type has been chosen, fill out all required fields and drop downs. If you chose "New Company & Contact" you will select "Save" and it will auto-open the company record and contact so you can then set the "Primary Salesperson" and adjust the "Default Bill To" when necessary (if it differs from the install location) by selecting a Company from the dropdown. If you chose "New Company" be sure to change the "Default Bill To" (if applicable) and set your "Primary" Salesperson and "Credit". For more info on "Default Bill To" see the Default Bill To Remit To section. Select Save again for the Salesperson and Bill To adjustments.
The message below might appear after you’ve entered the zip code and the city and state auto-populates. This message is just letting you know that the address is not exact on Google Maps; you can ignore it, select “Okay,” and continue on to save the Company Information.
IMPORTANT INFO:
You must hit "Save" before you are able to set the salesperson as "Primary" and adjust the "Credit".
At this time you can select “New Contact” on the top toolbar to proceed to add a Contact and even create a Lead Record from the Contact but if you are ready to start a project at this time, we recommend to proceed to the next step and add your contacts at the same time of creating a Project.
