When using the Project Spec button within the Bill of Materials module and a "ghosting window" pops open, it appears an item is going to add to your BOM but nothing happens, you must follow the instructions below:
Go to "Tools" on the top menu bar
Configure User Settings
Personal Settings tab
There must be something in the drop down "Sif Import to Use". The standard option is "SIF Import ! .sif File" as shown below
