Server Requirements for On-Premise

For On-Premise configurations, we will need access to the server that the database is on. This is either via the Required Server Ports section below, or the VPN section below. This access is needed for us to provide support, training, and updates.

Server Requirements:
Windows Server 2016 or newer
Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or newer1
Open Ports or VPN (refer to sections below)

1(SQL Server Express can be used temporarily to 10GB)

Required Server Ports

Port 15515 forwarded to 1433 and open to North American access.

OR

Port 15515 open and set as the default port in SQL Server Configuration.

VPN:

A VPN can be set up in place of open ports for security purposes. We require a VPN with a client (NetExtender, CiscoAnyconnect, Windows VPN, etc).

Profile Key Requirements:
A profile key is essentially an encrypted SQL connection string. To build the profile key, we will need the information below:

Server IP Address + Port
SQL Database Name
SQL Username
SQL Password

Server Migration Requirements:
To migrate your database from our server to yours, we will need the information below. If you have an IT team that can take of this, we can provide a .bacpac file that they can restore on your SQL Server.

  • Your IP Address

  • You will need to have a server and SQL downloaded

  • Full Administrator access via Remote Desktop

  • Port 15515 forwarded to 1433 and left available

  • No labels
