Steps to Add a New Division to Your Database
When adding a new division, it's not just about creating the division in the Division Setup window. There are several key steps to ensure everything is properly configured:
New Division Created / Settings Configured (Division Setup Tab)
Map Division to Classes (if applicable)
Configure Accrued Liabilities (un-billed cost) Account (if applicable)
Drop Down List Setup
Drop Down List Sorting and Configurations
MFG/Vendor Reference Codes Configured
Chart of Accounts Imported to New Division
Activate GL Accounts
Product Types Mapped to GL Accounts
Activate Users to New Division (Division Access Control)
