Commission Model Simulation
The Commission Model Simulator allows you to test and compare commission outcomes using new or modified commission plans. Instead of showing previously scheduled commissions, this module recalculates historical project data based on your updated commission rules.
Use it to evaluate how different commission configurations would have affected payouts for individual salespeople and their teams across past projects—helping you fine-tune plans before applying them in production.
Within the Commission Plans configuration window in the Administrator Application, click “Run Simulation” to open an external window.
Select a date range and hit the “Run Simulation” button to build the model. This will build out a list of completed orders where the completed date of the order is within your selected date range.
If you check the “Group By Sales Teams” checkbox before hitting Run:
Salespeople will appear with their Default Plan with the “Other User” field blank
Other Users will populated based on Sales Teams configured in the Automations Configuration within the Administrator Application
Only Salespeople / Users who have a Default Commission Plan configured will appear in the simulation.
If you do not check “Group By Sales Teams”:
Both the Salespeople and Other Users will appear in the “Name” column
Other Users will populated based on Sales Teams configured in the Automations Configuration within the Administrator Application
Adjusted Order columns will be calculated by the total for the order divided by the number of users commissioned for that order in the simulation. This is to ensure that the overall totals are accurate.
