If you have access to and use Configura’s Spec Version 5 to create a Bill of Materials / Estimate / Quote and you add parts one at a time into the Spec workspace, now there is an easier way to do add your items into e-manage using the Spec Catalog Viewer. This section assumes that you have already followed the Project Spec Setup & Integration section of this manual otherwise please see here to setup the Integration first.

Drill down in the Option Grid at the top of the Tiled BOM Window to a the BOM level. When you click on the BOM you want to add items to it will activate the Project Spec button.

Click the Project Spec button and the catalog viewer Item Specification window will pop-up where you can browse to the manufacturer and drill down to the item you want.
Quick Tip: You can also navigate to Edit > Part Search (or F2) Search on the lower area of this window to quickly search for a Part # (additional instructions listed below on this)

When you have read the items you can adjust the picture orientation using the slider or the orientation buttons. When you have adjusted the picture to the right orientation, double click on the item.

Double click on the manufacturer and continue to double click to select the item you wish to add to your Bill of Materials / Quote.

Next, choose your options by double clicking on the appropriate option in the list view.

When you have completed all of the option selections you can click the "Accept" button. Note: you can choose undecided and the option will show up on your quote in red so you and your customer know that there are unspecified options.

Adding an item from ProjectSpec Catalog Viewer when you know the part number is easy. Click the p.matrix button in e-manage, then click on the "Edit" menu in the catalog viewer and choose "Part Search" (or press F2 on your keyboard). Enter the part number you are looking for and press the "Find Now" button.

Double click on the item you want to use and fill out the options, then click the "Accept" button.Available Options section on the lower part of this window. Note: There is a “Skip” button if your customer has not selected an Option yet. This will show up in red on your quote so it will stand out on the customer facing document.

Click Click on the option you want to change and click the "Change Single Option" button and choose double click on the corrected correct option, then click the "Accept" button.
