To begin, click the Search (magnifying glass icon) pop-out panel. You will see categories in expandable group boxes (defaults to “Companies & Contacts”). Go to the section you want to search. Type in your criteria and wait for a second or two and your results will automatically appear. The less information you give e-manage to search for, the more results it will return. For example, if you are looking for a Company called "Bank of Texas", you could type in “Bank”, but you would get any company that has "Bank" in the company name.

The Other Section has items that either pull up multiple different types of records, i.e. Customer PO or Invoice Number which could be for a Service Agreement, Project, or Service Ticket. The Customer PO Search will only function if the PO # has been entered in the Order Entry module. You must hit ENTER on your keyboard to return results in the Other Search.

“Search For” ToggleOnce you have results showing in the grid, you can switch the “Search For” drop down list box to another record type and see all of the related records of that type for all visible rows in the Search results grid. If you select one or more rows (but not all), you will see the related records of the type you choose for the selected item(s).Drop Down / Toggle
The "Search For" acts as a toggle to search for related records to a Company (i.e. you want to find a Project associated with a customer). If you wish to use this functionality, select the company or companies and then drop down the Search For field and make your selection. You may search in only one direction – from first selection to sub-selections. You cannot go back to the first selection; you have to start over.
NOTE: To select multiple companies left click the first company and drag to multi-select or, if non-contiguous, hold down CTRL key and left click companies. If you DO NOT highlight a company when flipping the "Search For" it will pull data for ALL companies on the right side of the Search panel.
