Phases are : Organizing Your Project

In the e-manage|ONE system, Phases serve as an essential level of organization and provide structure to your project estimates. Think of Phases as tags, sections, summaries, or sub-totals within your project hierarchy.

Understanding Phases

Phases represent the second level of this the data structure and contain BOMs which is where parts are attached.  Each Phase level has a + to click on to see the house Bill of Materials (BOMs), where you attach parts. Each Phase level can be expanded by clicking on the "+" sign to reveal its "child" records. You can tell which level you are working with by distinguish between these levels through the "name" column in each, for example, the option level has : Options have "Option Name", the phase level has ," Phases have "Phase Name," and the BOM level has BOMs have "BOM Name.".

Effecting Changes Across Phases

Editable Cells in Phase Rows

Right-clicking on a Phase reveals additional functionality beyond the grid. To make changes across multiple selected Phases, ensure they are highlighted in the grid before right-clicking. Here's what each menu element does:

  • New Option - : Creates a new option Option along with a new phase Phase and a new BOM, with the BOM selected so you can immediately add new parts.

  • New Phase - Creates : Generates a new phase Phase under the option that the currently selected phase is a part of, and Phase's Option, along with a new BOM with the BOM selected so you can immediately , allowing you to add new parts promptly.

  • New BOM - : Creates a New new BOM for the currently selected phase and Phase, along with a new BOM with the BOM selected so you can immediately add new selection for adding parts.

  • Copy- : Copies the currently selected phasePhase(s) to paste for pasting into another optionOption, the same option Option, or an option Option in another project's BOM window.

  • Paste - : Pastes any copied phases Phases from the windows clipboard to into the currently selected phasePhase's optionOption.

  • Delete Selected - : Permanently deletes the selected phasePhase(s) and any BOM's associated BOMs that are children of the selected phasePhase(s).

  • Add / Modify Phase Picture - : Adds, changes, or clears removes the picture associated with the currently selected phasePhase. The Add / Modify Phase Picture window will pop-up where you can browse to a picture that represents the current phase and click apply, or click the clear button to remove a picture.

  • Change Phase Description - : Opens the Builder Window, where you can enter a formatted text description of for the currently selected phase (click the link to view what you can do with the builder window)Phase.
