Surveys are a named set of questions and answers (designed by your Administrator) to collect and convey important information about the project. Surveys are configured by the Project Type you chose from the Project Information window in the previous section. If you feel that there are new surveys that would apply to your project types or some valuable information is not being collected, please see your administrator to discuss creating a new survey.

To begin, click on the Survey Module on the left panel (or you can right click on a project from any grid that lists project items and go to the modules menu and choose Surveys).

The Surveys tiled window will open inside of the project's tabbed window and any surveys that are available based on the Project Type will show in tabs at the top of the tiled window.

Choose the survey you want to work with then click on a question on the left side of the window to see the answers on the right side grid.

Check the answer(s) that best match for the current project. Some fields can be typed in. They will be denoted by a checkbox called Fill-In that will be checked.

Fill-In field answers can be changed by typing directly in the cell and pressing ENTER or TAB on your keyboard to save the filled in value.

Once you have completely filled out the survey, you can print either only answered items or all items. By pressing either of these buttons. The “Print (All items)” will print all Questions and Answers. This can be helpful as a checklist in the field as one example. The “Print (Only Answered Items)” will print all of the answered questions along with the associated answers.

Move to any other surveys using the tabs on the top of the tiled window and repeat these steps.

By printing the survey from e-manage a .pdf can be created and saved to e-manage documents for the project. If you need to create multiple instances of the same survey, the best thing to do is to save the current survey by printing it and saving to e-manage, then click the "Erase/Start Over" button and fill out the new set of information.
