Days in Advance in regards to Action Items is how many days you can see out on your Actions to Perform. For example, if a user submits an Action Item with a Due Date of 08/20/2019, today is 8/01/2019 and your Days in Advance settings show only 7 Days in Advance - The Action Item submitted will be hidden from your Actions to Perform grid until you begin to dial in closer to the Due Date.

Days in Advance automatically defaults to 7 Days but can be adjusted to see further out in advance if necessary. This setting is per individual user and must be adjusted per user when necessary.

To change your Days in Advance settings select your "Actions to Perform" > select the small red dot which will turn it green (to expand to your Grid Functions).

In the lower right-hand corner change 7 to the amount of days out you'd like to see your Actions to Perform. Typically 30 days is a good start however some users like to see it ALL so you can set to 365 if preferred. If you take advantage of Recurring Action Items you would not want it to be set to 365.
