Copy/Move Documents from One Project to Another

If you make a mistake and upload a document to the incorrect project you can follow the instructions below to copy the document into another Project and it will set a Retention Date on the Document so your Administrator can Delete the Document completely from the wrong Project.

  1. Open the Project Document from the History of the Project.

  2. Highlight the Document you wish to move from one project to another.

  3. Enter the Project number you want to move the Document to and select the Project from the Drop Down list.

  4. You will receive a confirmation box in which you will select ‘Yes’.

  5. This will place a copy of the Document in the newly selected Project, mark the Document as inactive in the old project and automatically apply a Retention date of today’s date.
