Schedule an Event from a Contact
You can easily schedule an appointment with a contact by using the Schedule an Event action menu item.
When you click the menu item, the Events Calendar will either open (if it's not open already) or switch to the tabbed window (if it is already open). To schedule an appointment, highlight some time slots on the calendar for the appropriate date and time, then click the "New Appointment" button.
The Create / Edit Appointment window will pop-up and the contact you came from will be in the list of attendees automatically.
You can drag and drop more contacts into this appointment by finding them from the Main Search, Recent Records, Favorites or any other grid where contacts are listed. Drag and drop the contacts directly into the “Attendees” grid where the primary contact is listed.
You can invite or schedule other users from the "Scheduled and Invited Users" tab of the Event Window. Select any / all users that will be a part of this appointment and click the Invite or Schedule button according to what you want to do. The users will have a (conflict) next to them if they are already schedule to do an event for the time frame you are making the appointment for.
If you have e-manage setup to use Microsoft Outlook, then the sync with Outlook checkbox will be checked automatically.
The Results tab contains the location where the event will take place and the results of the event when completing.
Click the Save and Close button to save the event. Events can be drag and dropped directly on the calendar and any attendees will be notified of the reschedule via e-manage Alert.
