Add a Follow-Up to a Company
The "Add a Follow-Up" action menu item allows you to create tasks that can be assigned to yourself or other users. Follow-ups are particularly useful when you need to assign a task with a due date but without a specific time of day.
Follow-ups can be assigned to different top-level record types such as company locations, contacts, projects, service agreements, serviceable items, service tickets, and help desk incidents.
To create a follow-up, follow these steps:
Click on the "Add a Follow-Up" action menu item.
The attached company location for the follow-up will be displayed in the "Attached To" field.
You can change the attached record at any time by dragging and dropping relevant top-level record types from various sections of e-manage.
Choose a follow-up type from the "Follow-Up Type" drop-down list box.
Enter a description or subject in the "Regarding" text box.
Select a due date using the drop-down calendar box in the "Due By Date" field.
Indicate whether the follow-up is high priority or not.
Assign at least one user to the follow-up.
Click the Save button.
Once a follow-up is saved, a pop-up notification will appear on the assigned user's computer. If the follow-up is assigned to you, you will receive a notification within two minutes of saving the follow-up.
