Add a Quick Contact to a Company

The "Add a Contact" action menu item provides a convenient way to add full contact information with essential communication information however, there is also a way to add a “Quick Contact”.

Adding Quick Contacts from a Company Grid

You can also add a Quick Contact from any grid. To add a Quick Contact, simply right-click on a Company within a grid and select the "Add a Quick Contact" option. Fill out the resulting form as completely as possible. While only a few fields are mandatory (such as first and last name), it is recommended to provide any available information, especially the contact's email address. e-manage integrates with Microsoft Outlook for email communication and bulk email mail-merge functionality.

Enhancing Contact Details

When entering a mobile phone number, you have the option to include the mobile carrier. This enables direct text message communication with the contact from within e-manage.

Avoiding Duplicate Contacts

The Quick Contact window also functions as a search tool to prevent duplicating existing customers. After filling in the first and last names and moving out of the field, a grid below will display potential matches. Review these items to ensure you are not creating duplicates.

Managing Mailing List and SMS Preferences

The "Place Contact on Mailing List" option will automatically check or uncheck based on the chosen contact type, according to your company's setup. However, you can manually override this by selecting or deselecting the box after choosing a contact type.

Enabling SMS Text Messaging

The fields "This Customer Consents to SMS Messages," along with the Mobile # and Carrier, enable you to send SMS text messages from e-manage (requires integration with Outlook).
