Expectations for Company Leadership
Welcome to e-manage |ONE. It's extremely important that your company is successful with its decision to implement e-manage |ONE. It is so important to us that we have put together the following expectations for your company's leadership. These expectations are to help guide us both through a successful implementation and to get your company ramped-up as fast as possible so you can start enjoying the benefits of your investment.Â
It is your job to let your people know that this is a nonnegotiable. How long and how painful the process of switching to e-manage is, is up to them and you. This means that going backwards and using familiar processes from before e-manage |ONE will set you back considerably, cost you in time and money and lower moral.Â
State your case
It's critical that you understand why you decided to choose e-manage |ONE. List the reasons here for clarity. This will help you explain to your employees why your commitment is so strong.

This list it what needs to be communicated, in the clearest terms, to everyone in your company.  Explain the results you expect to achieve and demonstrate the resolve you have to accomplish your goals.
Be accountable
Hold yourselves accountable and hold your employees accountable for learning the software as quickly as possible.  Company leadership needs to operate as a team and actively engage in the implementation process. Company leadership must display a united front and show enthusiasm for the change.  Employees pick up on cues from leadership and if it's ok for the boss to complain and moan, it becomes OK for the employees to complain and moan.
Expect resistance
There is always resistance to change to one degree or another. In our experience, it is best to handle resistance with both compassion and firmness. Try to understand the source of the resistance. Often times, the resistance has nothing to do with the new software. During periods of change, people become nervous about their role in the company. They might even worry that their job will be eliminated because of the change.  Try to deal with these worries on their own terms.
Choose a Champion(s)
The implementation of e-manage |ONE is everyone's responsibility, but you will need at least one champion from within your organization to drive the implementation process.  The champion should have the following characteristics:
Positive and Motivating
Clout and credibility within your organization
Ability to articulate goals and vision
The capability and authority to hold employees accountable
The authority to bring teams together to discuss implementation strategy
Is comfortable eliciting and accepting feedback from employees and leadership
Has the full support of company leadership
Has the ability to create and implement their own training schedule and plan as needed
Out with the old
Change is often not completely accepted unless the organization knows that you are not going back to the old ways. Consider having an ending ceremony for your old business software or some other sort of symbolic gesture that gets the point across. You don't want to leave a backdoor open because it will keep users from engaging your new system 100%.
In with the new
Give your people encouragement and support as they learn e-manage |ONE. Some of your people will need just a little bit of encouragement, while others will need a whole lot of encouragement.  Be generous with your encouragement and support. Once a task or process is learned, celebrate the moment.  When you are ready to go live with the software, consider throwing a party to mark the occasion.Â
