Expectations for Team Members
Letter of Commitment
Your company has made a commitment to success and growth by choosing e-manage |ONE. This letter outlines what you can expect during the implementation process and describes some of the expectations being placed on you. We need everyone’s commitment to get your company ramped up as fast as possible so everyone can start enjoying the benefits of your investment. Please read this carefully and acknowledge below if you are ready to make the commitment needed for a successful implementation.
First, and most importantly, we need everyone to "Positively" support the decision and be 100% committed to moving forward with e-manage |ONE. Every company chooses e-manage |ONE for its own reasons, but here are a few common results companies experience after a successful implementation:
Clear understanding of roles & responsibilities
Linear and logical workflows
More time to work with customers
Increased accuracy
A distinct competitive advantage
Your company’s success is everyone’s responsibility and it is a team effort. Understanding the following concepts is key to a successful Implementation:
Change is good. The change you are making is for the betterment of the company and will make doing business with you easier for your customers, your vendors and your company team.
Change can be difficult. Yes, change can be difficult but your company made this investment to become better and it is important for you to support the decision and participate in the success.
Respect the change. During the learning events, please be respectful of everyone’s time. Our expectation is that you come prepared, you arrive on time, you silence your cell phone, you don’t email or text, you limit outside distractions and you don’t distract your co-workers from learning. Your full attention is required for a successful implementation.
You will be participating in the 70-20-10 model of learning and development. Roughly 10% of your time learning e-Manage One will be formal classroom style learning. Roughly 20% of your time will be spent teaching and learning from your co-workers. Roughly 70% of your time will be spent experiencing and using the software on your own.
As training begins, there will be daily assignments, or “Action Items” as they are called inside of the software, which you will need to perform as part of the training. The Action Items will be reviewed and will help us gauge which parts of e-Manage One you are mastering and which parts need further explanation. The first Action Items will help you get acquainted with the software. Then, you will begin receiving Action Items related to your job function. The Action Items to perform will be simple in the beginning and then increasingly more detailed as your confidence grows using the software.
Make it a priority to fully engage your co-workers in the learning process. You will receive Action Items to teach your co-workers how to perform functions inside of the software. Don’t be afraid to challenge your co-workers to succeed. Be patient with each other as you learn. Celebrate together as you learn new things and accomplish your mutual goals.
Each of us learn differently. Some of us will be eager to learn and others of us will be reluctant. Some of us will pick up the new software quickly, while others of us will need a little more time. This is normal and to be expected. If you are reluctant to learn and if the learning is taking longer than you would like, please be patient and persevere. Learning any new software or any multi-step task is not always easy, especially for adult learners. Just remember that the extra effort you put into learning the software now will make your job exponentially easier going forward.
Finally, an important part of this transition is letting go of your old software system(s). It will soon be gone. You may love or hate your current software system, but for better or worse it has been your companion at work every day. You are accustomed to it and you know how to make it work for you. As you begin to use e-manage |ONE you will naturally compare the new with the old. There may even be things that the old software does that e-manage One doesn’t do or does dramatically different. It’s natural to get nostalgic about the old way, but try not to get swept away by longings for the past. We are moving on from the old and moving forward with e-Manage One. Do your best to keep your focus and attention on learning e-manage |ONE.
We hope this guide has been helpful and insightful. We will do our best to get you up and running with e-manage |ONE as quickly as possible. We are only successful when you are successful. We are ready to do our part, are you?
Yes, I, ______________________________, am ready to do my part as described above and learn and use e-Manage One to the best of my ability.
