Setup the Kimball / National Web Service

Integrating the Kimball / National Web Service with e-manage|ONE involves several crucial setup steps. These steps are designed to ensure that your system can effectively communicate with Kimball / National, facilitating seamless order management and retrieval of order details. Follow the instructions outlined below to properly configure the service:

Division Account Number Configuration

  1. Navigate to Administrator Login > Configure Corporate Division.

    • Select the Division.

    • Enter your account number in the field labeled "Kimball Acct #".

User Login Credentials

  1. Within the Administrator Login > User List, access each user's record who will need to access Kimball / National Web Services.

    • Double-click on the User from the User List or highlight and select Open.

    • Update the record with their Kimball/National portal login credentials. This step is crucial for enabling direct access and interactions with the Kimball / National system.

Salesperson PIN Setup

  1. Go to Corporate Division > Drop Down List Setup > Salespeople.

    • Assign a unique "Kimball Pin" to each salesperson. This PIN is essential for identifying and authenticating salespersons in transactions and communications with Kimball / National.

By completing these initial setup steps, you prepare your team to utilize the full range of features offered by the Kimball / National Web Service, from direct order uploads to automated document retrieval.

Advanced Configuration for Kimball / National Web Service

To fully leverage the Kimball / National web services for processing your orders and downloading acknowledgements directly in e-manage|ONE, additional configuration settings must be activated:

Access Vendor Web Service Settings

  1. Navigate to the "Web Services" Menu.

    • Select "Vendor Web Service Settings" to access the configuration area.

Select Division and Vendor

  1. Choose Your Division and Vendor:

    • From the list of available options, select your division.

    • In the "Vendor" dropdown menu, choose "Kimball."

Vendor Name and Code

  1. Verify Name and Code:

    • Ensure the "Name" and "Code" fields accurately reflect Kimball / National's details, as shown in the provided screenshot.

Select Applicable Manufacturer (MFG)

  1. Manufacturer Selection:

    • Use the drop-down menu to select the relevant manufacturer for your orders. Ensure to save your selection.

Configure Accounts, Transaction Codes, Order & Bill Types

  1. Setup Accounts (Repeat this step for any Accounts you need to Setup)

    1. Under "Accounts," click "New" to add:

    2. Name: Enter your Account Name such as your Ship To Location, Bill To Account Name, Etc.

    3. Code: Enter your Account Number

  1. Set Up Transaction Codes:

    1. Under "Transaction Codes," click "New" to add:

    2. Name: Change / Code: Change

    3. Name: New / Code: New

  1. Define Order Types:

    1. Within "Order Types," select "New" and establish:

    2. Name: Completion / Code: Completion

    3. Name: Regular / Code: Regular

    4. Name: Corrections / Code: Corrections

  1. Establish Bill Types:

    1. Under "Bill Types," click "New" to create:

    2. Name: Direct / Code: Direct

    3. Name: Dealer / Code: Dealer

Dealer Order Contacts

  1. Enter Dealer Order Contact Information:
