Creating & Using Custom Application Rights
Custom Application Rights are created in e-manage ONE, assigned in the e-manage ONE Administrator (by profile or user), and used in Editable Fields only.
To create a new Custom Application Right click on the File menu of the main e-manage window and click on the Create / Manage Custom Application Rights menu item.
In this window you can add or change Custom Application Rights only. A listing of all previously created custom application rights will be listed in the top grid and an entry form for new (or changing) rights is on the bottom half of the window. Enter an Application Right, the Description of the new Application Right and choose a category from the Category Drop Down List Box and click the Save button.
To edit (or delete) a Custom Application Right, double click on the row from the top grid, make your changes and click the Save Button (or click the delete button to delete the Custom Application Right).
Next, you will need to assign the new Custom Application Right to Users either per user or by profile using the e-manage ONE Administrator. Open the e-manage ONE Administrator Program by going to the Main Tool Menu in the main e-manage ONE Window and clicking on the "Open the e-manage Administrator Program" menu item.
Once in the administrator, click the Users menu on the top toolbar and choose to open an individual user record by finding the user in the drop down list box of users (you can also start typing the user name to filter the drop down list) or go to the User Rights Profiles Configuration button to assign the right to all of the users of a profile (or profiles) at one time.
Either way you want to assign rights, you will simply find the new Custom Application Right and check the box, then press the TAB key on your keyboard to save your changes.
NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO SAVE EITHER ON THE PROFILES WINDOW OR THE USER RECORD TO SAVE CHANGES TO THE APPLICATION RIGHT SETTINGS.
