In e-manage|ONE, the process of importing symbols and images of catalog items from the Spec Catalog is made seamless, with these images being stored in the e-manage|ONE Master Parts Database. To ensure the best outcomes and align with recommended practices, it is highly advisable to configure your Spec defaults as follows:

 

Rendering Images Instead of Wireframes:

Make sure that images are configured to render, providing a visual representation rather than appearing as wireframes. You can achieve this by following the steps outlined below:

Troubleshooting Invisible Images in the BOM Items Grid:

In cases where the imported image is not visible within the e-manage|ONE BOM Items Grid, please proceed with the following steps:

Step 1: Enable "Show pictures in the BOM Items Grid"

Verify that you have enabled the "Show pictures in the BOM Items Grid" option. You can access this setting through the following menu path:

Tools Menu → Configure → User Settings

Step 2: Update Your Grid Layout

To ensure that the picture column is displayed in the grid, you may need to adjust your grid layout within the Bill of Materials module. Here's how to do it:

  1. Open the field chooser.

  2. Drag and drop the "Picture" field into the grid.

  1. Right-click on the "Picture" field.

  2. Navigate to Data Type / Formatting → Display Style.

  3. Select "Image" as the display style.

  4. Don't forget to save your Grid Layout!
