Pictures - BOM Parts

Including images for your Bill of Materials (BOM) line items can enhance the visual representation of your Part Items Grid and Line Item quotes. Here's how you can achieve this:

Configure User Settings

Before proceeding, ensure that you have enabled the option to "Show [picture in the BOM Items Grid." To do this:

• Navigate to "Tools" > "Configure User Settings" > "Personal Settings."

Option #1 (Import Pictures from Project Matrix)

To import images from the Project Matrix, follow these steps:

• Make sure you have a valid Project Specifier License and have the required catalogs downloaded.

• Select the desired Part(s) by right-clicking on them.

• Choose "Read Pictures From Pmatrix" from the context menu.

• If you wish to display the picture as a rendered image, right-click on the Part Preview in Spec, select "Display Mode," and choose "Rendered."

Option #2 (Manually Add a Custom Image)

To manually add a custom image, proceed as follows:

• Right-click on the part for which you want to add a custom image.

• Select either "Paste Image from Clipboard to BOM Item" or "Add / Modify BOM Part Picture."

• You can also paste the image by right-clicking and selecting "Paste" or by using the Paste Image icon located in the upper right corner.

This action will update the image for the specific line item. Should you modify the image in the Master Parts List, it will be automatically updated for all future uses of that part. For more information, see here.
