📘 e-manage|ONE Terminology Guide

e-manage|ONE may use some terms that are new or different from what you're used to. Below is a glossary to help you become familiar with key terminology used throughout the system.


💼 Core Terminology

Projects

Potential sales opportunities.

Leads / Lead Records

Used to track potential business before defining a scope of work. Also helps monitor marketing efforts via campaigns.

Jobs

A Project becomes a Job once it has been booked as an order.

Action Items

Tasks, milestones, workflow steps, or internal communications that help manage processes across your organization.

Implementation

Refers to the onboarding or installation process. We use “Implementation” as a broader term to reflect diverse business types and workflows.

Current Opportunities

All active Projects. Once a Project is booked, it moves to Backlog.

Booked

A Project that has been processed into an order within the Order Entry module.

Backlog

Booked Jobs that have not yet been fully invoiced to the customer.

Cashflow Management

A view of all open orders with Backlog amounts, Open AR (Accounts Receivable), or Unpaid Bills.

Active Quotes

Quotes that are still within their expiration date.

Expired Quotes

Quotes that have passed their expiration date.


🧾 Quote & BOM (Bill of Materials) Terminology

Bill of Materials (BOM)

A list of parts, products, or services—including quantities—required to generate a customer quote or fulfill an order.

Option

Creates a new, unique quote number. Options can be used to present alternative choices to the client, or combined into one quote.

Phase

Organizes the BOM into logical sections or "tags" (e.g., by room or project stage like Phase 1, Phase 2). Useful for organizing large or complex projects.

BOM

The area within the quote/order where individual parts and services are managed.

Grid(s)

Interactive tables used to view, sort, and modify data across the system. Most windows in e-manage. (Excel on steroids)
