Group Row Summaries

Group Row Summaries allow you to show summary information within the group row. The options for the summaries are based on the data type of the field. There is 5 different summary options:

Count - Count of the items within that group

Max - The highest value within that group

Min - The lowest value within that group

Average - The average of items within that group (only available for number fields)

Sum - The sum of items within that group (only available for number fields)

The screenshots below walk through how to enable and create group summaries, specifically a “Count” summary.

First right click on the header of a column and click “Show Group by Box”

Next, right click on the grouped field and hit “Group Summary Editor”.

Open

Select the type of summary you would like to show, then hit OK. In this case, we are selecting “Count”.

Right-click in the gray area and hit “Hide Group By Box” when you have completed your changes to have the Search function move back to the top-left of the grid.
